HAND-PICKED AND PROCESSED ONLY WHEN RIPE

Cartago Irazú Estate beans are:
  • Shade grown, to sustain the natural Costa Rican ecosystem, protecting the migratory homes of birds and acting as a natural defense against erosion.
  • Sun-dried, not chemically processed, to preserve the flavor and moisture inside the bean.
  • Hand selected, for quality, before being packed and shipped fresh to our high altitude roastery in Colorado.

SLOW-ROASTED AT HIGH ALTITUDE

Roasting is as essential to a coffees’ flavor as the pressing process is to grapes.
  • Colorado’s low humidity enables a roasting process that optimizes flavor, while effectively neutralizing harmful acids.
  • Roasted only upon order, our proprietary process ensures the flavor you taste is as authentic as if you were sipping coffee in the fields of Cartago.
  • With 15 years of experience, we have developed a secret roasting process to produce a high-altitude phenomenon…a neutral pH.

A NEUTRAL pH

A neutral pH equates to a coffee gentle enough for even the most sensitive of stomachs.
  • High in desired “acidity” (the specific terminology used to describe the flavor of a coffee’s brightness or “bite”) but neutral in acid levels or pH.
  • Like a Bordeaux wine, Irazú Estate Coffee is delicately balanced and perfectly rich, ideal for even the most sensitive of palettes.
We are proud to offer our customers this truly premium coffee that is not simply superior…it is a luxury that should not be missed.
