We at Cafe Cartago are focused on the needs of our customers, the needs of our community and the environment as a whole. Our Mission Statement is

"To create a cult following for our products and our company through superior quality, superior service and dedication to the sustainability of the environment and indigenious people where coffee is grown."

Social and environmental commitment:

• When possible we buy directly from the farmers in the country of origin.
• Much of our coffee is grown chemical-free and shade-grown which supports the native fauna and animal life.
• We donate 100's of pounds of coffee and $1000's yearly to local charities and civic groups.
• Occasionally a roast will not turn out to our high standards, however we never throw coffee away. There were always those less fortunate who are happy to take our donated coffee, from rescue-missions to battered women's shelters.
• We offer employment opportunities to women completing their post-release commitments at a local halfway-house.
